Books
Updated:When I was young, my parents had a household rule of reading 20 pages per day. I assume this was to make me smarter and have me sit less in front of the computer.
My method was to simply not comply, as they didn't verify that I had read at all. When I did sit down to read, most chapters would be skipped. Even for the pages I didn't skip, the "reading" would only consist of skimming through the text, followed by me promptly forgetting it.
Having had the urge to read for a long time since then, it just so happened that I followed through on it in 2025. Jules Verne's "Around the World in 80 Days" is what showed me that reading can actually be fun... who would've guessed?
As I started to read what actually interested me, instead of just forcing myself to read, it became fun!
